New Additions
This morning while feeding the sheep ouside, I was startled to hear some human like baby cries. I turned to see Angora Goat, Holly, with twins at her side. A bouncing baby boy at 5# 12 oz. ( Houdini ) and his little sister, Heather, who weighed in at 4 1/2 #. They are both colored. At first I thought the girl was white, but she's actually a very light red. Houdini is darker. At one point I thought she was pregnant, but when nothing happened,I assumed she wasn't. She's always had a huge hay belly!! And since I just got her back in June after her being gone for a year I was clueless.

Sugar River Spinner's Monthly Meeting
We had a total of 17 people today for the monthly meeting. It was a great time with terrific friends and fellow spinners. Many brought food to go with what I furnished so we all had plenty to eat. Some brought knitting, hand stitching, etc.
My good friend, Candy, brought me a large sheep statue. I love it!! It happened to be one that I had taken to a previous Sugar River Spinning Xmas party as a gift & she was the winner. Knowing how much I liked it she brought her back to me. She's so thoughtful!!

Shetland/ Icelandic Ram Lamb
My little boy Casper, went to a new home last night. He'll be living in Henniker doing breeding, so he should be happy!!. I get to have his fleece after shearing so that's a plus (like I need more fiber!!) He was born April 1st, 2008 and is black with white shading on his sides and two little white marks under his eyes that look like tears.
